AHRC conducted a humanitarian effort today (30.04.2020)

The AHAM Humanitarian Resource Center (AHRC) in Trincomalee District conducted a humanitarian effort today (30.04.2020) by distributing dry food items to 50 families in Mullipottanai Village Sevakar Division under Tambalagamam Division Secretariat. This effort was in response to the impact of the curfew implemented by the government to control the spread of the Corona (COVID-19) virus, which has affected daily wage earners who are now unable to leave their homes.

The AHRC distributed dry food packages to 50 unemployed families in the villages of Mullipottanai and Mullipottanai East under Mullipottanai Divisional Secretariat in Tambalagam region. This activity was carried out upon the request of the Trincomalee District Secretariat and under the advice and guidance of Tambalagam Divisional Secretary Mrs. J. Sripathy. The distribution was directly supervised by the Village Officers and Development Officers, who ensured that the goods were delivered to the people in the respective villages today.

It is worth noting that each family received dry food items worth 2,200 rupees.

 

COVID-19 EMERGENCY - RELIEF WORKS 2020

The AHAM Humanitarian Resource Center (AHRC) has been actively involved in providing emergency relief in the eastern province, including the COVID-19 response programs, throughout 2020 and 2021. These programs have been successful in providing essential support to communities affected by the pandemic and other crises.

These programs have included providing temporary shelter, food, and other necessary supplies to affected communities.

The AHRC's emergency relief programs have made a significant impact on the lives of those who have received support. By providing essential assistance during times of crisis, the AHRC has helped to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable communities and promote resilience in the face of adversity.
