Training on Transparency and Accountability Empowers Democratic Stakeholders

A significant training session on Transparency and Accountability for Democratic Stakeholders took place on November 16, 2023, at the Valaichenai Pettalai Public Library Hall. The event brought together 45 civil organizations under the Divisional Secretariat Division, along with Divisional Council officers and media representatives.

The training session served as a platform to enhance awareness and understanding of transparency and accountability principles among democratic stakeholders. Mr. A. Isaideen, Regional Coordinator of the Eastern Province Human Rights Commission, played a crucial role as a resource person, sharing valuable insights into the importance of these principles.

The event witnessed active participation from key figures, including AHRC Deputy Coordinator, Mr. Aghurasan Madan, Assistant Accountant Ms. G. Sanjalitha, Project Coordinator Mr. T. Thanuskumar, and Field Officer J. Thanusan. Their presence highlighted the commitment of AHRC to fostering an informed and accountable democratic process.
