Problem Analysis with Verugal Community: A Collaborative Initiative

On October 19, 2023, a vital problem analysis session was conducted with the people of Verugal, marking a significant collaborative effort with the active participation of representatives from traditional village-level civil organizations.
The AHRC (Aham Humanitarian Resource Center) is at the forefront of a dynamic project designed to fortify traditional village-level organizations in the Trincomalee and Batticaloa districts. This initiative aims to utilize these organizations as key contributors to providing insightful recommendations on pressing social issues.
During the session, an area-level survey unfolded, bringing together representatives from civil society operating in the Verugal area. The primary objective was to identify issues at the community level and discern the governance needs crucial for traditional village-level organizations within the framework of the project. In attendance were Deputy Convener of AHRC, A. Madhan, and other officials, underscoring the organization's commitment to grassroots problem-solving.
This collaborative initiative stands as a testament to AHRC's dedication to community development and empowerment.
