FOLLOW-UP FORUM MEETING FOR DEMOCRATIC ACTORS IN THAMPALAKAMAM

A discussion with democratic actors, including Pradesha Saba officials, local journalists, and civil society members, was held as part of the "Developing a Forum for Democratic Actors in the Eastern Province" program implemented by AHRC. The discussion took place in the evening of May 26, 2023, at the Tambalagamam Pradeshiya Sabha Hall.

The participants in the discussion included the Secretary and staff members of Tambalagamam Pradesha Saba, Tambalagamam Divisional Civil Activist Network, media personnel, and youth representatives. The focus of the discussion revolved around various issues, particularly those related to the development of the region. Activities such as providing clarification on the Divisional Council's initiatives to the people and presenting the people's demands to the Divisional Council were also undertaken.

The event was organized by AHRC and was attended by key individuals, including the Deputy Coordinator, Program Coordinator, Reconciliation Coordinator, and Media Coordinator. Their presence added value to the discussion and ensured the effective coordination and execution of the program.
