Follow-up Discussion with Traditional Village-Level Organizations

On October 11, 2023, a Participatory Field Survey for the Vagarai region was conducted, with the active participation of representatives from traditional village-level civil organizations. Additionally, donors were actively involved in this event.

As part of its initiatives, AHRC is currently executing a project aimed at fortifying traditional village-level organizations in Trincomalee and Batticaloa districts. The objective is to facilitate these organizations in providing recommendations on various social issues.

To delve into the grassroots perspective, an area-level survey was conducted on October 11, 2023. The primary goal was to identify community-level issues and governance needs among traditional village-level organizations. This initiative brought together civil society representatives operating in the Vaharai Division.
