Continued Engagement with Traditional Village-Level Organizations

Date: October 19, 2023

On October 19, 2023, a significant participatory field survey was conducted, engaging the people of Muthur Pradeshiya. This collaborative effort involved the active participation of representatives from traditional village-level civil organizations.

The AHRC (Aham Humanitarian Resource Center) is currently spearheading a project dedicated to fortifying traditional village-level organizations in the Trincomalee and Batticaloa districts. The primary focus of this initiative is to leverage these organizations as conduits for providing valuable recommendations on pressing social issues.

On the specified date, an area-level survey unfolded, bringing together representatives from civil society operating in the Mudur area. The primary goal was to identify community-level issues within the framework of the project and discern the governance needs crucial for traditional village-level organizations. In attendance were Deputy Convener of AHRC, A. Madhan, and other officials, emphasizing the organization's commitment to the cause.

This collaborative initiative serves as a testament to AHRC's dedication to community development and empowerment. By fostering dialogue and active engagement with traditional village-level organizations, the AHRC aims to address the unique challenges faced by communities and work towards sustainable solutions. Through these efforts, the organization contributes to the overall improvement of living conditions in the Trincomalee and Batticaloa districts.
