Capacity Development Training for Democratic Stakeholders in Chengaladi

In alignment with the International Human Rights Day Week promoted by the Aham Humanitarian Resource Center, Batticaloa, the Chengaladi Division Secretariat organized a workshop today (05.12.2023) on human rights, transparency, and accountability training for democratic stakeholders. The event took place in the hall.

Mr. A. Isaideen, Eastern Provincial Regional Coordinator of the Human Rights Commission, served as a valuable resource. He provided insights into Human Rights Day, the issues outlined in the Human Rights Declaration proposed by the United Nations, and the extent to which Sri Lanka adheres to the principles in the Human Rights Declaration. K. Lavakusarasa, the Coordinator of the Internal Humanitarian Resource Center, further discussed these matters.

Participants in the meeting included civil organizations under the Chengaladi Divisional Secretariat Division, Divisional Council officers, media personnel, and company officers.
